Beach Hut Deli

We arrived to find what appeared to be everyone of the staff engaged in a staff meeting at the counter. Our first visit - we didn't know how the system worked., We found that waiting for anyone to take our order was fruitless. Walking up to what appeared to be an order counter inspired one of the staff to break away from the staff meeting and take our order.We couldn't find a "clean" table but we were able to use napkins to clean one for ourselves. The lathe type ceiling material above our booth offered an unpleasant view of cob webs and a video screen providing access to a nondescript television program was smeared with hand what appeared to be greasy hand prints. Floors had various deposits of dropped food that had obviously been stepped in and we didn't see anyone make an effort to clean things up.The sandwich we ordered was fabulous.OK, you go to a restaurant for the food. The other stuff may not be important. We will go back but our order will be take out.

I've been here a few times now and I've been happy with things in general. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and they seem to be made with good quality ingredients into something enjoyable and very much worth the price. Do you like the good quality local deli feel? Then you'd probably like this place. And the photo I added was how amazing it looked AFTER driving home and unwrapping it.Order the Hobie hot and make sure your sitting down before taking a bite.
